Terms of Service
By accepting a J&L Movers estimate you agree to pay hourly for J&L Movers to perform the requested service. If your container was previously packed by another company or individual, under these terms we are NOT LIABLE for any pre-existing damage that occurred in transit or during prior packing and handling. We will provide door and floor protection to eliminate possible damage to your door jambs, carpet, tile or hardwood floors. We will notify you if we discover any obvious flaws or damage to your items while we are performing moving services. We will advise you of any and all items that require protection during the moving process and provide you with a waiver of liability should you desire to not have the items protected. We agree to be fully responsible for any accidental damages to the home caused directly by the conscious actions of our employees.
You agree to pay in full in cash or credit, valid funds directly to J&L Movers to the designated team lead or by phone to the business manager only. We will be responsible for unloading and assembling all furniture items. We will not be responsible for particle board or imitation wood products. While we make every effort to protect your items the quality of this type of furniture is not substantial enough to withstand the stress of moving and disassembly. Minor flaws in these products are not repairable and may render them unusable or worthless.
Unpacking or removing packing materials will be billed additionally as hourly time used and is not included in the estimated time. Appliance assembly or any additional requests outside of unloading are not included in this estimate and will be billed additionally as hourly time used. You will be charged for the amount of time used with the number of helpers agreed upon as confirmed by the estimate for a two-hour minimum block of time including any transportation costs. All quotes are only estimations of the time needed to complete the job and do not constitute a binding agreement for the amount of hours or the dollar amount quoted. Our services are billed hourly and full payment for all services rendered are due at the completion of the move. We accept payment in the form of cash or debit. Debit charges will be assessed with an additional 3% fee. Personal or business checks can only be accepted when pre-approved by the salesperson or business manager.

Hourly ServiceWe charge hourly for all moving services. Package offers only show the charge when all services are grouped and are designed to provide an instant estimate but does not replace an hourly charge for services. We DO NOT offer flat rates.

InsuranceWe are fully insured for any damages to furniture or personal property caused by our team members.

PaymentIn order to reserve time with our movers, payment is required for the number of hours you wish to purchase.
Additional hours can be purchased during your move or immediately following the exit interview for your move. We cannot guarantee availability before payment is received or after the reserve time expires. All of our services have a two hour minimum. You will only be charged for the amount of time used beyond the two hour minimum. Payment is required to confirm your appointment. You will have up to 24 hours prior to your moving day to cancel and receive a full refund without penalty. |
